Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity Ui To estimate the septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic systems that exist within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photo was assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that at least 84 septic systems per square mile are located in the immediate vicinity of the Site. The general area is a mixture of agricultural, residential, and commercial properties. The Lodi Airport is located to the south of the Site, south of Jahant Road. A small mobile home park is located southeast of the Site across Highway 99. Septic Permit History in the Vicinity Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department for nearby properties, most septic systems in the area utilize leach r lines with seepage pits; two permits indicated leach lines only. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of this report. Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage • Maximum expected usage on the Site would be from the existing and future employees and customers of the service station and restaurant, as well as future employees and 2 customers of the truck lube facility. A new septic system is planned to serve the proposed truck lube facility. Septic system design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards (2016) or other engineering recommendations. Ground Water Information Depth and Gradient Live Oak reviewed ground water elevation information available from the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District to determine the ground water levels near the Site. Data from fall of 2014 and spring of 2015 were the most recent available from this source. According to an analysis of these maps (Plates 5 and 6), /2 \ ground water elevation is approximately 26 to 42 feet below mean sea level; ground 1 / water flows toward the north or northeast at a rate of approximately four to seven feet per mile in the vicinity of the Site. I Given that the ground elevation of the Site is approximately 58 to 59 feet, the depth to water below the Site is estimated to be 84 to 101 feet, depending on the season. • LOGE 1711 Page 3
