Soil Suitability Study****** APN: 005-09-53 ******Parcel Nos. 1 &2=2.0 and 2.1 acres respectively
The property is situate in a general overall area known to contain 21 to 44 parts
per million Nitrate (NO3).
A binder entitled"Underground Tank Site Mitigation Database List"also
available in the Environmental Health Department's office was consulted and no
underground tanks were listed in the binder for the subject property.
According to the aforementioned maps and binder, DBCP, Nitrates and
Underground Tanks are not contributing factors to contamination on the subject property.
Well Water Analysis:
The results of well water tests for Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) and Nitrate
(NO3)concentrations are made an integral part of this study by including the results of
Far West Laboratories Inc. testing which are contained in their attached letters dated
September 20, 2002 and September 23, 2002. The results of the Far West Laboratories
Inc. tests on the sampled well water are summarized as follows:
Chemical Constituents
Dibromochloromovane (DBCP) (ug! Nitrate (NO3) [mg/Ll
N/D 7.9
N/D=Not Detected
The Nitrate (NO3) and Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) concentrations for the
well water sampled are well within the Sate Standards for safe public drinking water
established at 0.2 ug/L and 45 mg/L for Dibromochloropropane(DBCP) and Nitrates
(NO3) respectively.
Walter E.
