L
L October 23, 2006
NOA Project Number: E06103A
L ,3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
According to Bruce Bates, the maximum expected usage on each proposed parcel would be for a
primary residence and a secondary dwelling unit. Septic system design should be based on the
Environmental Health Department On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards or other engineering
recommendations.
L
✓4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
Lr/4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site.
The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official maps available from the County.
j According to these maps (Plates 3-6),ground water lies between 50 and 70 feet below ground
L surface and flows at a gradient of about 5 to 10 feet per mile to the northeast in the vicinity of the
Site.
1
L No ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O.Anderson&Associates, Inc. during the
drilling of two percolation test holes to depths of approximately 19 and 23 feet on September 7,
L2006.
t'4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
LIdentifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the
soil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources
which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems,
and storm water infiltration. Agricultural activities and the use of septic systems in the area should
be considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
i
1. ✓4.3 Water Sample Location
j No functioning water well exists on site. No water sample was taken or analyzed.
6
j/5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION
The Site is depicted on the CGS Preliminary Geologic Map showingQuaiernag Deposits of the Sacramento
L Quadrangle as within the Quaternary Riverbank Formation. This unit is arkosic alluvium forming
Mokelumne River terraces and alluvial fan;chiefly sand;probably glacial outwash.
L
4 "'44
L
