r 3.3 Description of all current on-site potential and/or known above and below ground
sources of contamination identified at the project site: Presently, there are no underground
storage tanks on the property and visual inspection did not produce any evidence of buried
containers, as well as no odors that would be associated with buried chemical tanks. There are
are also no above ground storage facilities. There are no above ground fuel tanks on the site. The
site includes a domestic well near the house located in the southerly end of the parcel. (See
tentative map in appendix.)
✓ 3.4 Description of all past off-site potential and/or known above and below ground sources
of contamination identified in the area of the project site: Past off-site potential for
contamination is the proximity to Highway 99 and the existing pond and creek on the parcel.
The pond and creek are filled by off-site water sources. There is no knowledge of below ground
` sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or may impact the project site.
6. ✓3.5 Description of all present off-site potential and/or known above and below ground
sources of contamination identified in the area of the project site: Present off-site potential
for contamination is the proximity to Highway 99. There is no knowledge of below ground
sources of contamination in the area of the project site that has or may impact the project site.
4.0 EVALUATION OF PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF
CONTAMINATION IDENTIFIED AT OR NEAR THE SITE AND
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FURTHER ACTION:
,/4.1 Evaluation of each potential and/or known source of contamination identified for any
real and/or potential threat to human health and the environment: The depth to ground
water in this area is approximately 60 feet. There is no record of chemicals, pesticides,
` insecticides, etc. being used on this site which may impact the groundwater. The use of
approved best management practices for the containment of soil or any contaminates by straw
waddles around the construction site and other practices to reduce the introduction of any dirt or
` contaminates into the storm runoff system will be required at the time of any future construction
per County Building Department.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS SECTION:
L 5.1 Discussion of the above evaluation: The aforementioned on-site pond and creek creates the
main potential for contamination, in the case of severe flooding. The close proximity to Hwy 99
could be a concern. However with the drainage of water away from the highway and the fact
that the water from Hwy 99 is not retained on the subject property, the potential for
contamination would be low, and no mitigation measures are recommended at this time.
X5.2 The Report is inclusive: All information in this report does not reference any other
documents that are not contained in this report.
_
2
cA0527\Contamination Report 5/04
