State law requires
that land use within airport areas of influence conform to the Airport Land Use
Plan (ALUP).
This site approval would allow the installation of an automated truck scale. The
project falls within Stockton Metropolitan Airport's Area of Influence and the
Conical Zone. Please ensure that all new residential developments file the
required Deed of Avigation and Hazard Easement in favor of Stockton Metro
Airport, that all occupied structures be soundproofed to 45db, and that any
potential school sites are evaluated by the State Department of Transportation,
Division of Aeronautics.
Uses that would attract birds, present visual distractions to pilots, or interfere with
aircraft communications or navigation are strictly prohibited. Based on the type of
use proposed for this site, this project would not be prohibited in the ALUP.
However, all of the standards regarding soundproofing, non-reflective materials,
transmissions, and power line undergrounding which apply to development in all
zones apply also to this area.
