File No. 20-3563-01 KLEINFELDER
March 3 , 1992
suitable for septic system use. However, because of the high
groundwater conditions (approximately 7 inches to 7 feet deep) , in
order to maintain the required 5-foot separation between the bottom
of leach lines and groundwater, engineered "mound-type" systems
with leach lines constructed in fill pads will likely be required.
We stress that the septic systems should be designed by a qualified
engineer. Percolation tests are recommended in the fill pads to
confirm that the soils percolate according to County requirements.
Based on our experience, in our opinion the subgrade soils could be
susceptible to settlement when heavy loads, such as provided by
Engineered Fill pads, are placed on the surface. Therefore, prior
to placement of Engineered Fill, we recommend that each
construction site be evaluated individually by a qualified
geotechnical engineer.
The septic systems should be located and future wells should be
constructed following County requirements. Continuous monitoring
of the septic systems should be maintained throughout the duration
of their use. Once this report is reviewed by Environmental Health
Services, we would be pleased to furnish a proposal for providing
whatever additional information they may require for their
evaluation.
This report was prepared in accordance with the generally accepted
standard of practice which existed in San Joaquin County at the
time the report was written. No warranty, express or implied, is
made.
We trust this report presents the information required at this
time. If you have any questions regarding this report, please
contact us.
Respectfully submitted,
RLEINFELDER, INC.
Steven R.
