L
LJune 10,2005
NOA Project Number: E05070A
L3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
L The following septic system repair permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review
at EHD on June 7, 2005:
Table 2.
Vicinity Septic System Repair Permit Summary.
Address,Date Tank Comments
Capacity
3732 Newton Rd.,10-1-85 1,200 gal Replacement of tank,addition of one 40-ft leach line to existing ( 3•`
residential unit.
3851 Newton Rd.,2-21-01 1,600 gal Replacement of tank, addition of one 40-ft leach line and two 48-
in diameter by 25-ft deep seepage pits to existing residential unit.
3.7 Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
L Maximum septic tank usage is for the commercial office planned for construction. Septic system
design should be based on the On-Site Wastewater Disposal Standards or other engineering
recommendations.
4
L4.0 GROUND WATER INFORMATION
4.1 Ground Water Depth and Gradient
The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (1998 and 1999) ground
`' water depth and elevation maps were reviewed to determine the ground water levels near the Site.
The Fall 1998 and Spring 1999 maps are the most current official maps available from the County.
LAccording to these maps (Plates 3-6),ground water lies between 40 and 50 feet below ground
surface. The ground water gradient in the vicinity of the Site is unclear.
LNo ground water was encountered by the staff of Neil O.Anderson&Associates, Inc. during the
drilling of several geotechnical boxings to a depth of 10 feet on June 3,2005.
L4.2 Potential Ground Water Contamination Issues
Identifying potential ground-water contamination sources was not part of the scope of work for the
Lsoil suitability study. Potential ground-water contamination can occur from a number of sources /
which often include leaky underground storage tanks, agricultural activities, dairies, septic systems,
and storm water infiltration. Any past agricultural activities and the present use of septic systems in
Lthe area should be considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
L
L 4
.,44L
