Funderburg III <br /> Principal Planner <br /> Subject: Application for Site Approval for Newton Road Precast Facility <br /> BackEround <br /> On August 22, 2007, the Sacramento County Regional Sanitation District awarded the Upper <br /> Northwest Interceptor(UNWI) Sections 1 and 2 Tunnel Project to Traylor Shea Joint Venture. This <br /> tunnel project consists of approximately 19,240 linear feet of 12' finished diameter sewer tunnel, 20 <br /> manholes, and related connections that tie into the New Natomas Pump Station. Traylor Shea Precast <br /> A Joint Venture is a subcontractor to Traylor Shea Joint Venture, and will manufacturer and install <br /> the precast concrete tunnel liners that are built behind the tunnel boring machine (TBM) and form the <br /> initial ground support and the final tunnel liner. <br /> The purpose of our Site Application is to receive approval to construct a state-of-the-art <br /> casting facility on APN 132-060-02 on Newton Road. They are made in sections inside of the casting building. All manufacturing <br /> is done inside the building, and the finished product is stored outside until shipping to the jobsite. <br />
