Pavey for the installation of an 800 gallon septic tank with 6v/ 5'?J
one 80 foot leach line. This permit was issued in January of 1963.
3.3 On-Site Septic Repair Permit History
L A repair permit was issued to Corwin Miller in April of 1975. This permit was for the addition of a
60 foot leach line and a 36 inch by 25 foot pit
3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office reviewed
a 1993 aerial photograph of the subject property available from Microsoft Terraserver. We counted
the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the assumption that each building
Lcluster has one septic system. Using this method,we determined that there are a minimum of 100
septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general use of the vicinity is split between industrial and surrounding agricultural land with
associated residences and farm structures.
L3.5 Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
The following septic system permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review at
EHD on April 10,2006:
Table 1.
Vicinity Septic System Permit Summary.
Address,Date Tank Lines,Length,Pits Comments
Capacity
4258 S.Hwy.99,7/5/94 1600 (1) 100'leach line,(2)25'deep New installation,shop
gallons seepage pits building
4307 S.Hwy.99,7/9/80 1200 (2) 85'lines,(2) 25'deep seepage New insta0ation j 2_
gallons pits
4340 S.Hwy.99,9/10/71 12001:(1) 100'line,(1)25'deep seep.g7 New installation to mobile
allons it home
The majority of septic systems in the area appear to utilize leach lines with deep seepage pits.
3.6 Septic Repair Permit History in the Vicinity
L The following septic system repair permit was found for the vicinity of the Site during file review at
EHD on April 10, 2006:
[ 3 '-*44
L
