PHYSICAL SETTING <br /> Table I provides a summary of the physical setting of the site and vicinity. <br /> Table I : Physical Setting Summary <br /> Topographic Map: U.S. Geological Survey, Stockton West, California, 7.5 minute Series(topographic) <br /> quadrangle maps dated 1987. <br /> Topographic Map A portion of the southwest quarter of Section 36, Township 2 North, Range 7 East, <br /> Location: Mount Diablo Baseline and Meridian. <br /> Topography: The subject property is essentially flat at approximately 55 feet above mean sea <br /> level. <br /> General Location: North side of Norman Avenue,east of Sibey Avenue. <br /> Assessor's Parcel 103-280-24 <br /> Number: <br /> Address: 11931 East Norman Avenue, Stockton, California 95215 <br /> Surface Soil Types: Hollenbeck silty clay, 0 to 2 percent slopes. <br /> Permeability: Hollenbeck silty clay-permeability is slow <br /> Depth to Groundwater: Groundwater can be found at a depth between 80 and 90 feet below ground surface <br /> level,flowing either to the northwest or southwest. It appears as though the subject <br /> property resides over a ridge of groundwater. <br /> Current Site Use: The subject property is currently used as a residence. z. <br /> Past Site Use: The subject property has been used as a residence and agricultural land in the past. 7. i <br /> Soil and Hydrogeologic Information <br /> 173--Hollenbeck silty clay, 0 to 2 percent slopes. This moderately well drained, <br /> nearly level soil is in interfan basins. It is deep to a hardpan. It formed in alluvium <br /> derived from mixed rock sources. A few areas are dissected by intermittent sloughs <br /> that have been filled as a result of land leveling (USDA, p.70). <br /> Typically, the surface layer is grayish brown silty clay about 10 inches thick... In <br /> some areas the surface layer is clay or clay loam (USDA, p.70). <br /> Permeability is slow in the Hollenbeck soil (USDA, p.70). <br />
