Environmental Health Department requires a soil suitability/nitrate loading study indicating
that the area is suitable for septic tank usage. This must be performed prior to submission of
a General Plan Amendment or Zone Reclassification application (San Joaquin County
Development Title, Section 9-1105.2(d)). A nitrate loading study is required, and a review
fee of$465.00 must be paid at time of submittal to Environmental Health Department.
The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on site sewage standards of San Joaquin
County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the manual of
septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for onsite wastewater treatment and disposal
system is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$93.00 per percolation hole is required.
B. A qualified environmental professional shall prepare a surface and subsurface contamination
report, identifying any potential source of surface or subsurface contamination caused by past
or current land uses. The report shall include evaluation of non-point source of hazardous
materials, including agricultural chemical residues, as well as potential point sources, such as
fuel storage tanks, septic systems, or chemical storage areas. The report shall be submitted at
the time of the Tentative Map submittal (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-
905.12(a)(c)).
Palle 1 of 2
