The district has recommendations for conditions of approval for the above referenced <br /> Andrew Watkins project. Your consideration of such recommendations included in this letter is <br /> Division 2 <br /> Paul Polk appreciated. <br /> Division 3 <br /> Melvin Panizza The district is responsible for managing the groundwater basin below the City of <br /> Division 4 Stockton and the agricultural area East the San Joaquin County line. Our goal in <br /> Paul Sanguinetti managing this portion of the Eastern San Joaquin [Groundwater] Basin is to assure the <br /> Vice President long-term reliability of this precious water supply for its overlying users. <br /> Division 5 <br /> Loral McGaughey <br /> Division 6 The above subdivision and housing development plans to pump groundwater for its <br /> Di <br /> Thomas McGurk domestic water supply. To mitigate the negative effect to the groundwater basin from <br /> President this pumping, the district recommends the following: <br /> Division 7 <br /> Kevin M.Kauffman 1. Divert surface water from Mosher Slough for non-potable purposes <br /> General Manager <br /> (landscape irrigation, fire suppression, etc. <br /> Jeanette R.Thomas as <br /> Assistant Manager2. To assure reliability, the non-potable surface water supply should be <br /> Jeanne M.Zolezzi backed-up by at least an agricultural production well. <br /> General Counsel 3. The storm water retention facilities should be modified to incorporate <br /> regulatory storage for the non-potable water system. <br /> 4. The storm water retention facilities should be modified to also provide <br /> groundwater recharge capacity, as practical. <br /> The district and its project partners are available to assist this development's design <br /> team in implementing these recommendations. <br /> Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
