Mr. Jeff Runquist - 2 - 16 June 1998
Rivercrest Vineyards, Inc.
5. The EP pond will handle both storm water and process water. A capacity evaluation must be done
that demonstrates the amount of wastewater/stormwater the disposal facilities can contain. Please
calculate the hydraulic mass balance for the 100-year wet winter. The yearly water balance should
use a minimum of two feet of pond freeboard, however a greater amount may be appropriate for a
large pond, especially if the project is in a windy area. Please use historical rainfall and evaporation
records distributed on an average monthly basis.
6. Finally, please provide TDS and EC data for both the winery process supply water and the shallow
groundwater immediately underlying both the EP pond and any proposed land disposal area. Also,
the depth to seasonal high shallow groundwater is needed.
When we receive the above information, your application can be considered complete, and we can begin
developing waste discharge requirements for Rivercrest Vineyards. If you have any questions regarding
this matter, please contact me at (916) 255-3024.
CHRISTINE M.
