5.0 SOIL PROFILE INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 5.1 Site map showing the location,with dimensions, of the soil profiled pit on the parcel. <br /> See Appendix. <br /> 5.2—Description of soil profile pit including depth and dimensions. The shallow test holes <br /> # ` were prepared per County Standards. The holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 <br /> inches in diameter. They were backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel". <br /> 5.3 Description of soil litholog3as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using <br /> industry standard protocol. The Soil in this area is classified as Columbia Fine Sandy Loam, <br /> Columbia Fine Sandy Loam Channeled, Delhi Loamy Sand, and Merritt Silty Clay Loam, <br /> f partially drained, as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, as provided by the United <br /> States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service. <br /> 5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: TheC bia Fine <br /> Sandy Loam, Delhi Loamy Sand have moderate rapid permeability, th�MerrittSilty lay Loam- <br /> Fj' has a moderate slow permeability, thus percolation rates varied between I 1 and 28 Min./Inch. <br /> (See Appendix). <br /> , 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION <br /> 6.1 Site map showing�the location,wit concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation <br /> test holes on the parcel: See Appendi . <br /> 6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each <br /> parcel: Three shallow percolation test holes were prepared. <br /> 6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including <br /> L_, depth and dimensions of hale, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak <br /> t (minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and <br /> 8 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel" in accordance with County <br /> F Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Shaun Mackey of Dillon& Murphy on <br /> May 20, 2011 at 7:00 a.m. On June 2, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. <br /> P <br /> The holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. <br /> 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak <br /> fj period (hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to pr soak / <br /> (minimum 12 inches): On June 3, 2011 at 7:30 a.m. the three shallow test holes were dry. ix / <br /> inches of water were added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The <br /> shallow tests passed the minimum County requirements. <br /> 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth, diameter, 2" gravel, 6" <br /> water refill, correct readings recorded).
