• Radon gas .•
A radon survey was not conducted at the Site. Radon occurs naturally and
randomly in geographic settings. The California Department of Health
Services(CDHS)conducted a statewide radon survey during 1990-1991 that
- entailed testing for radon in homes in designated geographic areas. The Site is
in San Joaquin County and according to this survey Radon concentrations
detected averaged less than 1.0 pico Curies per liter in Zip 95209. This
compares favorably to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) safety
standard for radon gas in residences of 4.0 pico Curies per liter and the United
States National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements(NCRP)
standard of 8.0 pico Curies per liter. Radon is not considered an issue for the
Site.
5.2 Hazardous Substance Containers and Unidentified Substance Containers
• None noted.
5.3 Indications of PCB's
• As noted in 5.1 above.
5.4 Indications of Solid Waste Disposal
• General appearance of the site was neat and clean.
5.5 Storm Water Drainage
• Storm water from this site remains on the site or drains into Nina Court. There is no
indication of any hazardous materials having been drained or spilled.
6.0 FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the review of records and physical site survey the following findings are for the
client's consideration and action:
• New construction on the site will require permits or approval from the appropriate
regulatory agencies.
• Evaluation of the site and records does not indicate any environmental concerns due
to the surrounding properties or identified sites.
• A Natural Hazardous Disclosure Report is provided in the appendix of this report.
7
