Subsequent to the tree removal test
holes were conducted. Based on the rest holes there appears to be approximately 15o,0oo C1 of
merchantable sand within the 11.4 acres. The project site is currently open pending permit approval and
will be reclaimed back to an almond orchard.
Project she is surrounded by orchards and existing processing facility. The site is not visible to the general
public and no residences are impacted by the proposed project. All material will be hauled to the existing
processing facility using on-site haul roads. No public reads will b3 used to haul materials to the plant.
A. M_ ens:Attached is a vicinity map showing site access from the nearest town and a USGS Map
showing the topography of the project site. (Attachment A)
B. Gcolo
a. This site is within the Modesto Formation which occurs as Out terrace deposits above
the Stanislaus River flood plain. Most of these terraces are good for orchard lands.
The site is within a Mineral Resource Zone 2,as classified by the California Division
Of Mines and Geology and has varying depths of sand underlying the topsoil.
b. A geologic map showing fault systems is attached. (Attachment B)
c. Seismologic stability of this site is depicted on Seismic Events Map.(Attachment C)
d. The sites ore body consists of sand and sandy loam soil. Nothing of a chemical
nature is contained in the ore.No waste rock effecting drainage potential or other
potential sources of surface or groundwater contamination.
e. Cross section(s)in the location of proposed 2:1 slopes are shown on attached
drawings.
C. Hydrology-
1. Surface and ground water resources.
a. There will be no processing on site. Materials hauled to existing processing facility
operating under Wasto Discharge Permit#158392029001.
b. No watersheds will be disturbed by or have a potential to impact mining operation.
c. No wells or springs exist within project site or within 150' of the site. No other
land or water uses will be impacted by this project.
d. Proposed excavation of 20-r/-feet will not penetrate groundwater.
e. Groundwater elevation is at 751•/-feet.
