Reclamation Sched PrP•
I. Reclamation is concurrent with mining. Topsoil is continuously replaced as
excavation allows, 'Due to the size of the project;only one phase is proposed.
2—4 years for excavation and reclamation has been requested. Operator fully
expects the reclamation can be completed sooner if weather and supply and
demand does not change substantially.
2. Reclamation Site Plan indicates acreage for one phase.
3. Reclamation is concurrent with mining.
C. Post Mining Topography-
I. Map of proposed post-reclamation topography prepared by engineer is
provided on engineered drawings.
2. Reclamation Site Plan showing cross sections, Slopes, cuts, fills, etc, is
provided on engineered drawings.
3. Slopes can be stabilized,if necessary,by using resident hybrid erosion
control seed mix.
4. Working slopes will not exceed 1:1. Final slopes will not exceed 2:1.
S. Slopes of this design are very safe.
D. Impoundments: There will be no impoundments on-site during this project
E. Drainage- Any drainage due to sever storms will remain on-site. Due to the rapid
penneability of the soil, drainage is not generally a concern during excavation and
after reclamation
F. osit on of Old Euuipment All equipment used at site will be mobile.
G. Revegelation:
1.Topsoil is continuously replaced after sand material has been removed
during excavation. When all sand has been removed and the topsoil replaced the site
will be ripped, graded and leveled in preparation for planting trees,
a, Average thickness of replaced topsoil at the mine site will be
10 tt-feet.
b. Testing of soil will be performed by Farm Contractor if needed.
c. Planting of trees occurs during spring. The trees are protected at
time of planting from wind.Erosion does not occur due to the
permeability of the soil. All planting is under supervision of Farm
Contractor who contracts will, owner for planting, maintenance
and harvesting.
2. Tree Fertilizer: Fertilizer mixture of21-7-14 is applied by hundful per
irec one month after planting. The trees are fertilized as needed 4x a
year by Farm Contractor
