PA-0500403 OF
AGGREGATES, INC. (C/O MUNN & PERKINS) (APN: 247-220-18 & 19)
(26292 E. RIVER ROAD, ESCALON, CA. 95320)
The applicant has submitted the above referenced quarry excavation application to
remove approximately 150,000 cubic yards of rock, sand and gravel from 11.4 acres on
an 197 acre site over a four year period. There will be one phase. All material will be
processed at an existing facility (QX-89-02) located contiguous to the site. No permanent
structures or facilities are proposed. The excavation site is located on the south side of
East River Road, 1,800 feet west of Harold Road, northeast of Escalon.
The General Plan designation of the 11.4 acre project site is OS/0 (Open Space-Other)
and the zoning is AG-40 (General Agriculture, 40 acre minimum size).
The Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed application and
offers the following comments:
Background
The proposed project is a part of an existing operation. The Revision
added 30 years to the life of the permit.
The proposed 11.4 acre project site was planted in an almond orchard. In 2004, the
trees were removed due to age and less than average production. The project site is
currently vacant pending permit approval. At the conclusion of mining, the site will be
reclaimed back to almond orchard.
Acoustical Study
The Community Development Department has reviewed the letter dated July 7, 2005
prepared by D.E.E.M.
