'GEORGE REEL <br /> To: Trucking Firms and Sub-Haulers <br /> From: Bill Faris,Vice President <br /> Date: September 16,2008 <br /> MUNN&PERKINS <br /> TRUCK TRAFFIC CONTROL UPDATE MEMO <br /> Recent events have compelled us to evaluate and address ongoing concerns related to trucks entering <br /> and leaving the Munn & Perkins facility, together with issues along River Road. In consideration of <br /> this matter, the following policy is being implemented to address and correct the concerns which <br /> have been brought to our attention. Your cooperation in helping us manage these issues will be <br /> sincerely appreciated. Please pass this information along to all drivers and sub-haulers. <br /> POLICY <br /> ➢ Truck Parking anywhere along River Road is prohibited for trucks working out of the Munn & <br /> Perkins facility. Designated parking is available within the facility yard area. This measure is <br /> being implemented for safety reasons. <br /> ➢ The use of Jake Brakes at the McHenry Ave/River Road intersection and along River Road is <br /> forbidden. Please allow enough time and space for deceleration when approaching the Munn & <br /> Perkins entrance or a stop sign. <br /> ➢ Trucks and vehicles shall come to a complete stop before exiting the plant driveway onto River <br /> Road. <br /> ➢ Drivers should attempt to arrive at the plant as close to their loading time as possible. Anyone <br /> arriving more than 15 minutes prior to their loading time will be contributing to unnecessary <br /> congestion at the tare in scale. <br /> ➢ The speed limit within the Plant Facility is 15 MPH. <br /> Periodic policing to monitor compliance with the above listed items will be conducted. Drivers not <br /> adhering to this policy may be subject to dismissal from the project they are working on or potential <br /> expulsion from the facility. <br />
