PUBLIC OUTREACH
The project included an extensive public outreach component, which consisted of 3 "town-hall'
style public meetings, and focus meetings with Lincoln Center management. The primary goal
of soliciting public involvement at the "town-hall' style meetings was to identify concerns with the
existing roadway, both in the immediate and surrounding community and discuss them in a
large group setting. The feedback received from these meetings, coupled with an extensive
traffic engineering assessment of the corridor in both existing and future (2025) scenarios, forms
the basis for recommendation of the preferred alternative.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
For the Benjamin Holt Drive Improvement Project an Initial Study / Mitigated Negative
Declaration (IS/MND) was prepared and circulated. County has received minimal comments.
Board of Supervisors will adopt the IS/MND Dec. 2010, in conjunction with recommended
alternative for this project.
San Joaquin County (Benjamin Holt Drive Alternatives Analysis)
Department of Public Works Page 3
