The site is located within Section 29, Township
1 North, Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian. This property
and the surrounding area are zoned AG-80 (Agricultural) . The
topography of the site is flat with a gradient of 0. 0003 sloping from
southeast to northwest.
The topographic soils map prepared by the United States
Department of Agriculture, Soils Conservation Service, indicates the
site is largely covered by Columbia fine sandy loam with smaller areas
being covered by Grangeville clay loam and Merritt silty clay loam.
For many years, the subject property has been used for the cultivation
of row crops. The standing water level of the subject site was
observed in an irrigation canal to be at a depth of approximately
eight feet (81 ) . This relates to a groundwater elevation of
approximately -4 . 0' feet.
Attached are copies of percolation tests performed on August 12 ,
1993 , by Siegfried Engineering, Inc. , Consulting Civil Engineers. The
holes reveal that the surface soils are underlain by sandy soil at a
depth of approximately three (31 ) feet. The observed percolation
rates are 1. 11 and 3 . 33 minutes per inch for Test Holes 1 and 3 ,
respectively. Ten minute tests were run on Parcels 1 and 3 as
representative of the four (4) parcels whose percolation test holes
all revealed similar soil characteristics.
(Cont'd. )
4045 Coronado Ave. ■ Stockton, CA 95204-2396 ■ 209 943-2021 ■ FAX 209 942-0214
G ASMM\LU\7313LT.SO\8-26-93
