He noted <br /> that the applicant is to submit three sets of plans prior to j <br /> construction. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING OPENED <br /> �. .'�•' PROPONENTS: Raymond Coldani, Ray Road, was present to represent <br /> W-7' <br /> .�•. ° Mr. Baleri. He said they were in agreement with the requirements <br /> of the various departments. He said this particular property is <br /> a portion of a 1,410 acre ranch. Mr. Baleri owns considerable <br /> property around the area. He said that contrary to what was <br /> understood by staff, there will not be a remodeling of the <br /> existing horse barn. There will be a new steel-frame building <br /> with block construction. This is going to be a first-class <br /> operation. Further, the application should not make reference to <br /> 4 i •guard dogs• but should be for 'dogs.* This will be strictly a <br /> >f: i kennel and not particularly for guard dogs. The new barn will be <br /> in the same location as the old barn. An application for demoli- <br /> tion of the existing barn will be made with the County. <br /> OPPONENTS: Casey Moore, North Davis Road, owner of property at <br /> the southeast corner of Sargent and Ray Roads, said that area is <br /> zoned GA-40 and it is in the Williamson Act. He said that the <br /> dog kennel is not agricultural although the ordinance allows a <br /> dog kennel in this zone. . He said that the prevailing winds are <br /> northwest, and even though the kennel is to be in the center of <br /> 150 acres, the prevailing winds will carry the odor. There will <br /> also be noise. They have coyotes in the area and 75 dogs will <br /> bark when the coyotes howl. <br /> i ' <br /> ?0s <br />
