• Past Uses of the Site
Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report
(Live Oak, 2017), the Site has been used for pasture and to grow crops since 1937 or
earlier. The structures on the Site were built prior to 1937.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
One septic system is currently located on the Site to serve the house, according to the 3
tentative parcel map prepared by Shoup Land Surveying (Plate 2).
Proposed Septic System
If a new residence is constructed on Parcel 2 after its sale, a new septic system will be
installed.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Live Oak searched the septic system permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department; no septic permits were identified for the Site
address.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To estimate the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic
systems located within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Aerial
imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was
assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that 165 or ,\
more septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site. J
The general area consists of rural residences, pasture, and orchards.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department for nearby properties, it appears that septic systems in the area
utilize leach lines with seepage pits. The septic permits can be found in Appendix 4 of
this report.
Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from the existing house on
Parcel 1, a potential future second unit dwelling on Parcel 1, and potential future
• primary and second unit dwellings on Parcel 2.
LOGE 1706 Page 2
