The dividing of this 320 acre parcel is for residential
purposes . The present 40 acre parcel has a home, a mobile home,
barns, a well and septic system on the southern half of the parcel .
The remaining 280 acre parcel has two (2) wells , a house on the
southern boundary and is devoted to dairy agricultural pursuits .
TEST RESULTS:
Parcel No. Test Hole Percolation Rate Minimum Usable
N0 . minutes Per Inch) Disposal Area
(Square Ft . )
2 1 60 12 ,000
2 2 60 12,000
Soil Profile: A Soil Pro-file Test Hole was dug to a maximum depth
of 10' 02" for soil profile reporting. See the attached "Test Site
Location Map" and "Field Percolation Data Sheet" , well as the text
of this report , for specific soil layer character and location
details. No ground water was encountered in excavating the Soil
Profile Test Hole on September 2 , 1997 . However , on September 3 ,
1997 water was found in the test hole and recorded at a depth of
7 ' 02" below the ground surface. See the text of this report for
further details.
Well Water Analysis : See the attached five (5) "FGL Environmental"
letters , all dated August 25, 1997 , as well as , the text of this
study report regarding Nitrate and DBCP well water concentrations.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Due to the large variations in the water level
drops experienced in the thirty (30) minute periods during the
total four (4) hour percolation test period, the minimum water
level drop of 1/2" recorded in a 30 minute period during the total
test period is recommended for use in the design of a septic
system. A 12,000 square feet minimum disposal area is recommended
for Parcel No. 2 to accommodate a subsurface horizontal leach
field. The use of a seepage pit design is acceptable in lieu of a
leach field solely design.
MANJEAN HOLSTEENS , 10408 S. VAN ALLEN ROAD, STOCKTON, CA. 95215 1
