According to the property owner, there are no buried fuel tanks on the property. There are no
visual signs of any such tanks (ground settling, irregular ground, etc.).
There are no drainage courses through the property. There is a large depressed area along the
east property line. (see appendix) Water does not drain into this area but it does hold water that
lands on it. Storm water is basically contained on the property and is lost to either percolation or
evaporation.
The depth to ground water in this area is approximately 120 feet. This relatively deep ground
water does not typically become severely impacted by pesticides, insecticides or fertilizers. The
soil type is generally sandy loam.
A visual inspection of the site did not produce any evidence of buried chemical containers.
There were no unusual odors that would be associated with buried chemical tanks and according
to the property owner, there are none.
Conclusion and Recommendation
Based on visual observation, County records, and testimony of the property owner, there appears
to be no surface contamination. Given the scope of this study, the probability of subsurface
contamination should be considered low and normal to this region. Since additional ground
water testing will be done in conformance with the Soils Suitability Report, no additional
study is recommended at this time. Based on visual observations, no corrective action is
necessary at this time.
Limitations
Dillon &Murphy does not assume responsibility for the discovery and elimination of
environmental hazards which may be discovered. Recommendations suggested in no way assure
the elimination of any possible environmental concerns.
The extent of this report cannot guarantee surface or subsurface conditions do not exist. The
possibility for contaminants always exist.
Very Truly Yours,
DILLON & MURPHY
oQROFESS/p y Ye
"'UZ`ftmphyNo. 45277
xp. 9-30-02 * 5,277
L 9
OF CALFpP
L
CA01I Murrface and Subsurface Report
L
