SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The parcel is situated between Jahant Road and Peltier Road at 23250 N. Sowles Road, east side, <br /> in Section 14,T4N R7E, in Acampo, CA. 95220. The Tentative Parcel Map is included and <br /> shows the existing 20 acre parcel subdivided into two parcels. The APN is 007-380-14. .,/ <br /> The site is located in an area of San Joaquin-Bruella soils. The USDA description is moderately <br /> will drained and well drained, moderately coarse textured and medium textured soils that are <br /> moderately deep to a cemened hardpan or are very deep,on low terrace. The predominate <br /> classification is clay. + <br /> The area along Sowles Road consists of 5 to 30 acre parcel homesites. Pasture being the <br /> predominate use of the land. At one time there were 50 horses pastured on the property. <br /> Currently about a dozen horses are present. <br /> Two wells exist on the parcel,one for irrigation and a domestic well. The structures consist of a <br /> horse barn with a few stalls, a pole barn for hay/equipment storage,two residences, an on-site <br /> septic system and minor sheds. Various cross fencing exists. Access is from Sowles Road. <br /> USER PROVIDED INFORMATION <br /> The owner is Margaret Veerkamp. The property records of SJC indicate ownership by Mideiros, <br /> Mike Trustee. (A son)Mrs. Veerkamp was interviewed on Feb. 27,2004. She stated she has <br /> owned and lived on the premises for 30 years. She stated the former owner raised calves. She has <br /> downsized the horse population and will probably sell the new parcel created by the minor <br /> subdivision. She is receiving some help in the repairs and in the haul off of items not needed <br /> anymore. Photographs were taken on the date of the visit. The owner stated there are no <br /> chemicals such as herbicides, insectides or oils stored on the premises. Some metal containers <br /> were present but empty. Several bales of hay were covered in the pole bam. She stated she was <br /> very cautious about storing any chemicals such as pesticides or herbicides on the property because <br /> of the danger to the horses. The land is used for pasture. <br /> RECORDS REVIEW <br /> Information sources used to evaluate past and present land use activities at or near the subject site <br /> include: <br /> 'Local Records <br /> Aerial Photographs <br /> Topographic Maps <br /> Owner Statements <br /> Local Records <br /> The EHD of SIC was searched for permits of record(septic repairs) from 22300 to 25786 N. <br /> 1. <br />
