PA-0500224 OF CALIFORNIA <br /> HABITAT AND EDUCATION FOUNDATION (APN: 129-290-01 & <br /> 129-020-01) (11330 W. SPUD ISLAND, WEST OF STOCKTON) <br /> The applicant has submitted the above referenced Use Permit application to develop a <br /> nature preserve, habitat and visitor center in three phases (Use Types: Recreation - <br /> Nature Preserve, Recreation — Marinas, Recreation - Campgrounds). The phasing is <br /> proposed as follows: <br /> Phase I <br /> • Construction of a forty foot dock and gangway for drop-off of visitors. <br /> • Construction of two 10-site tent platform camping areas with a restroom for each <br /> 10-site camping area. <br /> • Construction on the lowland beach flats of a special use camping area with 6 tent <br /> platform camp sites and a restroom. <br /> • Trails will be cleared using a small tractor. <br /> • Construction of a interpretative outlook area. The outlook area will be <br /> approximately 400 square feet. <br /> Phase 11 <br /> • Construction of a 3,000 square foot open air visitor/conference center & <br /> amphitheater. <br /> • Construction of a 400 square foot Native American village re-creation and special <br /> camping area. <br /> • Expansion of the 40 foot dock constructed in Phase I to a new 20-slip main dock. <br /> • Construction of additional camping sites and restrooms. <br /> • Construction of additional nature trails and outlook areas on the eastern portion <br /> of the island. <br />
