At full development, Hog Island will be a ric treasure fostering cultural and environmental ap rCiation through education outreach to
school groups,as well as allowing easy access to locals for day use and overnight camping, with facilities available for conferences,
workshops and private venues. The riparian, marsh and upland areas will have a dynamic trail and boardwalk system with interpretive
signage and elements keeping impact to limited focused areas, thereby preserving the extensive and diverse habitats on the island.
Phase IIIB construction is anticipated to be completed in 5-7 years from the date of approval of permits from all agencies with
jurisdiction.
EmployeeslCustomers
When Phase II is completed and thereafter until both Phase IIIA and Phase 1116 are completed, it is anticipated that 3-25 employees or
volunteers will be working on the Island during daytime hours. One paid full-time employee will be on the Island at night along with
volunteers. Also, the number of customers will vary between 75-150 upon the completion of Phase II and thereafter until both Phase
IIIA and Phase IIIB are completed. These numbers are the same for Phase II and Phase IIIA and Phase 1116 because the number of
conferences, group events and number of boats docking overnight will vary. In addition, it is intended that no more than 150 people be
on the Island at any one time. Staff will monitor the number of people on the Island and control the limit.
Business name(DBA):
Employees/Customers per Work Shift
Shift Hours Days of the week Employees(Number) Customers per Shift Vehicle Trips per Shift
8 Seven Days a Week Phase 1:3-15 Phase l:40-80 15-25 boats
daytime only
8 Seven Days a Week Phase II: 3-25 Phase It:75-150 25-50 boats
daytime only
8 Seven Days a Week Phase IIIA and Phase IIIA and 25-50 boats
Phase IIIB:3-25 Phase IIIB:75-150
daytime only
Materials/Equipment Used
Describe equipment used in the project(include the number of automobiles and trucks: See Project Description
Describe materials produced, stored or used (all hazardous materials should be identified): See Project Description
PROPERTY AND VICINITY DESCRIPTION
Property Information
Assessor Parcel Number(s) Property Size Number of Parcels Project Size Williamson Act Contract
CDHEF- 129-29-01 28.68 acres Three 103.48 acres ❑Yes x❑ No
Port- 129-02-01 60.00 acres
SLC- 129-02-Old Channel 14.80 acres
Property Address: 11330 West Spud Island, Stoddoi CA 95219
Existing Land Uses
On-Site Uses (Include Ag Crops): Private camp area with existing camp buildings and boating dock, historic public beach area, dredge
spoils area, heron rookery, and natural habitat with willow trees, tule marsh, blackberry and elderberry bushes, and coyote brush.
