• Past Uses of the Site
Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report
(Live Oak, 2016), the Site has been orchard since 1937 or earlier. The house was built
in 2002 or 2003, and the barn was built eight years ago.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
Two septic systems are currently located on the Site, one for the house and one for the
apartment above the barn.
Proposed Septic System
No new construction is planned.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Live Oak searched the septic system permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department; two septic permits were identified for the Site
addresses.
• • October 2003 permit for new septic system at house. Aerial
imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was
assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that 16 or more
septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of orchards and open, agricultural land with scattered rural
residences along the roadways.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
• Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department for nearby properties, it appears that most septic systems in the
LOGE 1710 Page 2
