June 14, 2005 NOA Project Number: E05066A 3.0 EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE 3.1 Existing On-Site Septic System Tank Usage One septic system currently exists on the site. No septic permits were found on file for the address of 6318 East State Route 12 (Victor Road), at San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD), on May 17, 2005. 3.2 On-Site Septic System Permit History No septic permits were found for the Site during file review at EHD on May 17, 2005. 3.3 On-Site Septic System Repair Permit History No septic repair permits were found for the Site during file review at EHD on May 17, 2005. 3.4 Existing Septic System Usage in the Vicinity In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office reviewed a 1993 aerial photograph of the subject property available from Microsoft Terraserver (www.terraserver.microsoft.com). We counted the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the assumption that each building cluster has one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there are a minimum of 60 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site. The general area consists of agriculture with a associated residences. 3.5 Septic System Permit History in the Vicinity The following septic system permits were found for the vicinity of the Site during file review at EHD on May 17, 2005: Table 1.
