i
INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
F Minor subdivision application PA-060067 was approved on 9/8/09 by the San Joaquin County
Planning Commission. A Certificate of Compliance is required for all parcels. The current map .
shows 11 lots, minimum gross lot size is 80 acres. The site is located at 28251 E. Hwy 26,
} Linden, Ca.(Very near the easterly SJ County line.) The area is rocky, hilly and high terraces are
evident.
There are no structures or roads at present. A non functional windmill exists near the entrance.
There are several stock ponds holding water for the cattle, only one appears to furnish year round
water. The ponds were created by construction of small earthen dams on the natural drainage
courses. Some of the drainage courses can only be traversed by four wheel drive vehicles. No J
septic systems exist on the parcels. A few oak trees remain. The Calaveras River is located
southerly of the site/Hwy 26. Surface runoff from the area& areas upstream empties into the
' River.
PRESENT, PAST USES OF THE SITE
The land provides grazing for cattle if winter/spring rains are adequate. No surface irrigation is 2-
C
f
used. Approximately 100 head of cattle are on the site. The access gate is locked.
r
EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
There are no on-site septic systems. This land is grass land for cattle. No history of on-site septic
is available.
Two local owners were contacted,(6/22/10), one to the east and one to the west concerning on-
site septic usage. Their systems were satisfactory. The effluent greens the down slope grasses
where the rock terrace is at an angle.
The two locations are both easterly and westerly of the site. The parcel immediately to the east is
hardpan and to the west more rock terraces.
Research at the EHD, SJC for any record of septic system repairs in this area was made. There
are very few residences in this area. The following data was extracted from the records:
s ,
Address on Rte 26 Date Repair New Remarks Years Svc.
24125 41.23/69 X Install D box, 40'LL&pit 40
S 24331 6/28/99 (Replacement) Install 1600 gal tank, 80'LL & 4 pits. 10 C3
24661 3'131/04 X Add 40'LL & 2 pits 6
24661 4/20/89 X Add 70' LL & 2 sumps 19
1.
1
