The SJCACO maintains Use Permits for five years, and <br /> records are filed by the farm name or grower name and not by address. <br /> The subject property contained walnut orchards at the time of the site visit; according to SJCAO <br /> records, the walnut orchard north of the property residences and barn complex was planted in 1997 <br /> and the walnut orchard immediate north of East Highway 26 was planted in 2000. Mr. Skobrak,the <br /> property owner,reported that Mr.Frank DeBenedetti of F&FD Orchards leased the walnut orchards. <br /> The following agricultural chemicals are permitted for use on the property: <br /> DATE(S) CHEMICAL USES <br /> Aluminum Phosphide A rodenticide applied in fumigant form to the ground. <br /> 2,4-D Amine A weed killer applied in liquid form to the air or ground. <br /> Paraquat A weed killer applied in liquid form to the air or ground. <br /> Sevin A larvicide applied in liquid form to the air or ground. <br /> Chloropicrin A nematodes pesticide applied in liquid form to the ground. <br /> Guthion A mites pesticide applied in liquid form to the air or ground. f` <br /> 2004-2008 <br /> Methyl Bromide A soil pesticide applied in fumigant form to the ground. <br /> Penncap A larvicide applied in liquid form to the air or ground. <br /> Strychnine A gopher pesticide applied in bait form to the ground. <br /> Zinc Phosphide A rodenticide applied in bait form to the air or ground. <br /> Supracide A larvicide applied in liquid form to the air or ground. <br /> Manex A fungicide applied in liquid form to the air or Eound. <br /> In addition to chemicals permitted for use at the site, a search of Production Agriculture Monthly <br /> Pesticide Use Reports for the years 2004 through March 2008 was conducted for all F&FD Orchards <br /> locations. Two entries were found for the subject property on 29 March 2008 for the following <br /> chemicals: <br /> • Two-hundred pounds of Kocide (fungicide, bactericide)applied to twenty-five acres via the <br /> ground; and <br /> • Twelve and a half gallons of Manex (fungicide) applied to twenty-five acres via the ground. <br /> Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
