He
also noted that the shop is used for private purposes as a workshop/storage;no plumbing or septic
system is associated with the shop.
3.6: From the permits for the vicinity septic system repair that were found on file EHD,it seems
that the septic systems in that area usually do not need repairs. The soils of the area appear to be
able to accommodate a standard septic system.
4.2: The results of the water sample cannot give definitive information as to existing ground water
lA{ nitrate or DBCP contamination or any other contaminant on the site. Well construction, seals, age
and depth of the well screens may play significant part in assessing the levels of Nitrate and DBCP
. in various aquifers. Without knowing specific details regarding well construction and condition,it
would be difficult to accurately comment of the condition of the aquifer. Essentially, the water
sample concentration approximately indicates the contaminant concentration level of the aquifer
from which the well is drawing. It is Neil O.Anderson and Associate's opinion that,in general, near
surface aquifers are more likely to have elevated concentrations of Nitrate and DBCP than the
deeper aquifers. However, the contaminant concentration of one aquifer cannot give any indication
y P 'as to the concentrations of any other aquifer regardless of proximity.
LODI ■ SACRAMENTO ■ MODESTO ■ RENO
ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION 902 Industrial Way,Lodi,California 95240 ■209.367.3701 0 209.369.4228 fax 0 www.noanderson.com
