L
L April 9,2007
NOA Project Number: E07045A
from the spigot of the well by Jessen Welch of our office on March 26,2007.
L
L /4.4 Water Sample Constituents
L The water sample was analyzed for nitrate and DBCP. The results of the water sample are
forthcoming.
L ]/4.5 Well Water Sample Collection, Handling, and Transportation
L The nitrate sample was collected in a sterile plastic container, the DBCP sample was collected in two
sterile glass vials. The samples were then transported on ice and remained under chain of custody to
FGL Environmental, Stockton.
L 4.6 Chain of Custody
LThe Chain of Custody document has been included in the appendix of this report.
'/5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION
L
The Site is depicted on the USGS Preliminary Geologic Map of the Lodi and Galt Quadrangle as
within the Quaternary Riverbank Formation. Quaternary Riverbank Formation (upper, lower and
`. middle members) these units are arkosic alluvium forming Mokelumne River terraces and alluvial
fan;chiefly sand;probably glacial outwash lower fans;abundant volcanic detritus (Plate 7).
L, The surface and near surface soils located at the Site are reported by the San Joaquin County Soil Survey
to be composed of Jahant loam and San Joaquin loam, thick surface, both 0-2% slopes and San
Joaquin loam, thick surface,0-2% slopes (Plate 8) (USDA, 1992). Table-2 presents some selected
L, properties of these soils:
Table 2.
San Joaquin County Soil Survey
Selected Soil Properties of On-Site Soils.
Soil Name Depth Unified Soil Classification Salinity Soil Perme- Septic tank
and Map (in) mmhos/cm Reaction ability absorption
Symbol pH (in/ht) fields
Jahant 0-5 Loam;ML <2 6.1-7.3 0.6-2.0 Severe:peres
loam, 5-31 Loam,clay loam;CL-ML,CL <2 6.1-7.3 0.6-2.0 slowly
0-2% 31-49 Clay,clay loam;CH,CL <2 6.1-7.3 <0.06
slopes,182 49-53 Cemented --- --- --
53-60 Indurated
5
