October 2,2006 <br /> NOA Project Number: E06102A <br /> JI L4 Thornton Fire District <br /> The Thornton Fire District was contacted by telephone regarding hazardous materials incidents on the <br /> subject property. According to staff of that agency,there have been no hazardous materials incidents <br /> L• or other environmental concerns on the property within at least the last six years. The structures on the <br /> subject property may have been quarantine housing for farm laborers in the 1940s.13 <br /> / <br /> 6. v 3.1.5 San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner <br /> The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's office14 was contacted regarding use of <br /> 11M agricultural chemicals on the subject property. Hazel Gallego of the Agricultural Commissioner's office <br /> found records for the subject property under the name of Robert Barber (Appendix l). <br /> L According to the records,Mr.Barber had a permit in 2003 to apply 2,4-D amine to the subject property. <br /> In 2002 and 2003,he applied Weedar 64 (2,4-D dimethylamine salt). <br /> L /The EPA's Restricted Use Products (RUP) Report15 was searched for the chemical reportedly applied <br /> to the subject property. Based on this source,it appears that Weedar is not an RUP. <br /> I <br /> 13.1.6 Water Supply and Sewage Disposal System <br /> The EHD well and septic permit files were searched on September 19,2006 in an effort to obtain copies <br /> L of permits for any water wells or septic tanks on the subject property;no permits were found. <br /> 3.1.7 Department ofOil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources <br /> The California Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) well map 61016 was <br /> reviewed for evidence of oil or gas wells on or in the vicinity of the subject property. No wells are <br /> `. depicted within one-quarter mile of the subject property. <br /> 3.1.8 Site Reconnaissance <br /> L <br /> A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on September 22,2005. Photographs <br /> of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B.
