MEN T AL HEALTH
ROSE P S Engineering - Geology & Survey Inc: ;_ ; , , ., :r ,ICE
9070 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624 (916) 686-5445
I Pit 2: 19
November 29 , 1993
San Joaquin County
Department of Public Works
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Attn: Tom Iwamiya
This letter relates to our conversation by telephone on November
24 , 1993 regarding the Barnyard project on Thornton Road and I-5 .
We would like to explore some concerns:
1. What is the time frame extending the 36 inch storm sewer West
on Thornton Road?
2 . Can we evacuate reclaimed waste water through the storm sewer?
We have tertiary reclaimed water, (10-10 suspended solids and
biological oxygen demand along with 2 parts per 100 ml . of
bacteria) .
3 . If the project was ready to pay their fair share of the storm
sewer extension, will the county help in the extension?
4 . The surface water runoff could be passed through an oil-water
separator prior to entering the main trunk line storm sewer.
5. Several months of the year the reclaimed water will be used for
site irrigation.
We have approached the Woodbridge Irrigation District and the
Reclamation District 438 with the idea of supplying them with both
surface water and reclaimed water. It appears District 438 will
give us an answer on December 2 , 1993 .
The enclosed rough sheets and maps will give you some idea of the
project.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to call .
Sincerely,
ROSE 'S ENGINEERING-GEOLOGY & SURVEY INC.
Merwin F.
