' San Joaquin County, as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil
' Conservation Service.
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The Cogna
' Loam has a permeability that is moderate. The Archerdale Clay Loam has a permeability that is slow.
The Columbia Fine Sandy Loam has a permeability that is moderately rapid.
' 6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation
' test holes on the parcel: See Appendix.
6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each
' parcel: Two shallow percolation test holes were prepared on the proposed parcels.
6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including
' depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak
(minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and
10 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel" in accordance with County
' Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Brett Lagorio on September 28, 2017 at 7:30 a.m.
On September 28, 2017 at 7:30 a.m.the 24 hours presoak period was started. The holes were filled
with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time.
' 6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period
(hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum
I 12 inches): On September 29, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. the 2 shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of
water were added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test
passed the minimum County requirements.
' 6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02(correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6" water
refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy
' EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
' verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading.
