14 April 2004
AGE-NC Project No.04-1143
Based on available information, subject property use appears to have been undeveloped or
agricultural land for at least 45 years.
4.1. AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS
Aerial photographs were utilized to determine the developmental historyof the subject property and
surrounding areas.Three aerial photographs,dated 1957, 1982 and 1993,were provided by EDR and
one USGS aerial photograph, dated 2002,was reviewed on the Microsoft TerraServer Internet site
( http://terraserver.microsoft.com ).
Subject Property: All four aerial photographs show the subject property utilized as undeveloped or
agricultural land. The 1957 aerial photograph appears to show row crops, the remaining photographs
appear to be planted in grasses such as alfalfa or barley.
Surrounding Properties. Surrounding properties in all directions appear utilized for agricultural
purposes, predominately row crops or grasses. The 1957 photograph shows residential use to the
northeast and southeast;later photographs show increasing residential use along East Tokay Colony
Road,visible to the north,and Hibbard Road,visible to the northwest.The E.B.M.U.D Mokelumne
Aqueduct is visible to the south/southeast on all photographs.
Aerial photographs of the subject area predating 1957 and subsequent to 2002 were not readily
available for review. No items of potential environmental concern for the subject property were
noted on the aerial photographs, such as above-ground storage tanks, dispensers, industrial ponds,
etc. Copies of the aerial photographs are included in Appendix B.
4.2. USGS TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS
Developmental history of the subject property and surrounding areas was researched using the USGS
Waterloo Quadrangle, California 7.5 Minute Topographic Map, produced in 1968 and photo-
inspected in 1978 and a 1993 map provided on the Microsoft TerraServer Internet site. The maps
show the subject property located in an agricultural area, but no crops, such as orchards, are
identified on the property. A benchmark west of the property shows an elevation of approximately
67 feet above mean sea level.
•- No items of potential environmental concern for the subject property were noted on the USGS
Topographic Maps, such as above-ground storage tanks, dispensers, industrial ponds, etc. A copy
of the subject property portion of the 1978 topographic map is provided in Figure 1, a copy of the
subject property portion of the 1993 map is provided in Appendix B.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
