The project site is located within the Stockton Metropolitan Airport <br /> Influence Area (AIA), and pursuant to the State Aeronautics Act (Public Utilities Code Section 21676), the <br /> project is subject to a Consistency Determination by the San Joaquin County ALUC. <br /> CONSISTENCY REVIEW <br /> This proposed project would include the expansion of an existing truck parking facility to include truck repair <br /> that would be open to members of the public. The project would include the construction of a new 22,267 square <br /> foot building with offices, truck repair area, and storage on the undeveloped portion of the 23.6-acre site. The <br /> two existing buildings on site are 13,680 square feet and 48,350 square feet. The project is located on a parcel <br /> that is within the Airport Influence Area of the Stockton Metropolitan Airport. <br /> The land uses proposed with the facility are compatible with the 1993 ALUCP Zones for the Stockton <br /> Metropolitan Airport. <br /> The following standards and project design conditions specific to compliance with the ALUP which should be <br /> carried through as conditions of approval are as follows: <br /> 1. New land uses that may cause visual, electronic, or increased bird strike hazards to aircraft in flight shall <br /> not be permitted within any airport's influence area. Specific characteristics to be avoided include: <br /> • Glare or distracting lights which could be mistaken for airport lights. Reflective materials are not <br /> permitted to be used in structures or signs (excluding traffic directing signs); <br /> • Sources of dust, steam,or smoke which may impair pilot visibility; <br />
