' 1 KLE/NFELDER
&19MMopk.RgMbM1tllom.
t1 INTRODUCTION
' This report presents the results of a soil suitability and nitrate loading study performed for the
Delta Truck Center project located at 161 E. Transportation Court in San Joaquin County,
' California. The Assessor's Parcel Number for the property is 193-270-18. An aerial photograph
showing the approximate site boundaries is presented on Figure 1. The purpose of our study was
to determine the suitability of the property for additional septic tank usage. The study was
performed in general accordance with the requirements of Section 9-1105 of the San Joaquin
County Ordinance Code. The following sections include background information regarding the
' existing site and the proposed development, past and present uses of the site, existing septic
tank performance and permitting, and the groundwater conditions in the project area. In addition,
' discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site conditions encountered during
our field exploration are included. Finally, the results of our percolation tests, nitrate loading
' calculations, and subsequent conclusions are presented.
We understand that the vacant lot in the southern portion of the parcel is proposed to be
developed into a truck service facility for the existing Delta Truck Center. This development will
consist of a single structure with office space and truck service bays, and paved parking areas for
' employee and customer automobiles and semi-trucks. The semi-truck dealership will remain. The
proposed development will encompass approximately 5.23 acres of the 26.31-acre site. An on-
site septic/leach field system will provide sewage disposal and will be located in the northern area
of the development. Water for domestic and fire use will be provided by the city of Stockton. A
' map showing the project site plan and approximate location of the septic/leach field is presented
on Figure 2.
' 20162869.001A/ST016R38644 Page 1 of 15 April 19, 2016
C 2016 Kleinfelder
