t KLEy/NFELOER
^'!'hgJe.Xlpl,f Solution
Table 4-1
Off-Site Facilities of Potential Concern
FACILITY OR FACILITY OR SITE PROXIMITY TO SITE COMMENTS
SITE NAME ADDRESS FEET
Sharpe General Depot Sharpe General Approximately 4,832 This facility is associated with the Department of Defense facility discussed below.
(Field Annex) Depot feet south-southeast
This facility was listed in numerous databases searched by EDR. In summary,
volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including trans-1,2-dichloroethylene,
trichloroethylene, and carbon tetrachloride from facility operations have impacted
groundwater. Groundwater extraction and treatment remediation was initiated in
1987 and 1990 to control groundwater migration. Based on Kleinfelder's review of
pproximately 2,676 the most recent groun
Depot, San Joaquin 700 East Roth Road south SWRCB GeoTracker dwater maps obtained from documents available on the
Defense Distribution Aonline database, groundwater beneath this facility flows
Sharpe Site toward the northwest. Contaminated groundwater plumes associated with this
facility appear to extend to the northwest (URS, 2012 and 2016), and not northerly
toward the subject Site. Based on the cross-gradient location of this facility from
the Site with respect to the direction of groundwater flow, it is unlikely that this
facility affected soil, soil vapor or groundwater beneath the Site. Thus, it is not
considered a REC.
This facility was listed as maintaining ASTs with a total capacity of 47,450 gallons,
and ten underground storage tanks (USTs) reported as closed. This facility was
Granite Construction Co 10500 South Harlan Approximately 906 feet also listed as having a closed leaking underground storage tank (LUST) case
south-southwest involving groundwater that had been impacted by gasoline. Based on information
obtained from the SWRCB GeoTracker TM database for this facility (see Section
4.3.6), the release associated with the LUST case is not considered a REC.
20172543.001A/ST016R49461 Page 19 of 54 November 2, 2016
©2016 Kleinfelder ww Aeinfelder.com
