Historical land use was researched to the first developed use, or back to 1940, whichever was earlier or readily available. Table 5-1 summarizes the availability of information reviewed during this assessment. Kleinfelder requested EDR to search its library of Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps for maps of the Site. EDR responded that Sanborn coverage for the Site was not available. A copy of the Certified Sanborn® Map Report is provided in Appendix D. 5.2 AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHS A review of historical aerial photography may indicate past activities at a property that may not be documented by other means or observed during a reconnaissance visit. The effectiveness of this technique depends on the scale and quality of the photographs and the available coverage. Aerial photographs were obtained from several historical photograph collections through EDR (2016c), and span a period of 75 years. A tabulation of the aerial photographs reviewed by Kleinfelder is presented in Table 5-2. Copies of the aerial photographs provided by EDR are included in Appendix D.
