This section summarizes
the findings from the Site reconnaissance.
6.1 METHODOLOGY AND LIMITING CONDITIONS
Mr. Heard, Senior Geologist and Project Manager for Kleinfelder, and Mr. Anthony Wohletz,
Staff Geologist for Kleinfelder, performed a Site reconnaissance of Parcel 1 of the Site on
October 28, 2016. The Site reconnaissance included a visual inspection of the Site to assist in
identifying the presence or likely presence of hazardous substances or petroleum hydrocarbons
under conditions that indicate an existing release, a past release, or threat of release into
structures, soil, groundwater, or surface water at the Site (i.e., RECs). Mr. Heard performed a
Site reconnaissance of Parcel 3 of the Site on October 31, 2016. Observations of readily-
apparent environmental conditions are summarized in Table 6-1, and color photographs of the
Site are presented on Figures 6 through 24. The approximate Site boundaries are shown on
Figure 2 — Site Plan. Mr. Heard and Mr. Wohletz observed most of the Site and immediately
surrounding properties.
6.2 GENERAL SITE SETTING
The Site is situated east of Harlan Road at its intersection with Transportation Court in San
Joaquin County, California. The Site is in an area that is generally used for agricultural and light
industrial purposes.
6.3 SITE OBSERVATIONS
Kleinfelder's Site observations are summarized in Table 6-1.
20172543.001AIST016R49461 Page 35 of 54 November 2, 2016
©2016 Kleinfelder w .kleinfelderxom
