1 KLE/NFELDER
usmnoW.uymsowix.
U
This observed staining is considered de minimis. tjpJurther assessment is recommended for
the observed staining.
Other Environmental Concerns
• The Site was historically used for agricultural purposes through the mid-1990s. It is
common for residual concentrations of pesticides, associated with application for pest
control, to be present in the shallow soils on former agricultural sites. The pesticide
concentrations in these situations are typically less than regulatory action levels, and the
potential for further action to be required to address the pesticides is low. In addition, the
,Site- a redeveloped for existing truck repair and hauling related activities. Thus,
/no ass ment is recommended associated with the former agricultural use of the Site.
—. Impacted soil associated with the diesel release in the vicinity of the northern dispenser
at the former fueling area on Parcel 3 was reported to be excavated and disposed
offsite. Based on the non-detect or low concentration (58 mg/kg) of TPH-d detected in
the composite samples collected from the excavation, and because contaminated soil
was removed, this release is not considered a. likely to have impacted soil, soil
vapor or groundwater beneath the i No further essment is recommended based
on the information reviewed regarding-this-release. However, it should be noted that
residual concentrations may remain in shallow soil in this area.
8.5 DATA GAPS
Although Kleinfelder attempted to obtain reasonably ascertainable information regarding the
Site, some information was either not received or not readily available at the time of this report.
Therefore, consistent with ASTM Standard Practice E 1527-13, the following data failure (data
gap) has been identified:
• A response from the SJCEHD has not yet been received as of the date of this report.
• Limited information was available regarding documenting a diesel fuel spill clean up on
Parcel 3 conducted in 2005.
• Limited information was available regarding closed loop-status of the oil/water separator
on Parcel 3.
20172543.001A/STO16R49461 Page 52 of 54 November 2, 2016
0 2016 Kleinfelder www.kleinfelder.com
