INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this project is to divide a 80 acre parcel into three parcels. One parcel
will be a 5.00 acre "financing" parcel, a 35 acre parcel and a 40 acre parcel. In
accordance with the San Joaquin County Development Title, this Surface and
Subsurface Contamination Report (SSCR) is being submitted for application with the
tentative map. This report will investigate the property for visual or historical
environmental contamination based on field observation and testimony from the owner.
No chemical analysis is proposed as part of this report.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project consists of one parcel located at 15709 Tretheway Road, Lodi. The project
is in a farming area and is surrounded hyo ant-cultugyral and rural residential land. It is
zoned AG 40. The site has two homes. It is currently an orchard and wheat field. See
the Tentative Map included in the Appendix.
PROJECT HISTORY
The primary source of information on the historical use of the property is testimony
from the owner and County records. The current owner has farmed the property for
two years. Cherries and wheat are planted on the property. This property and the
adjacent properties have been used in the same manner since the current owner has
owned the property.
A review of County records (San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office
-
and the San Joaquin County Environmental Health's Contaminated Site List) did not
yield any contamination concerns. I have included a complete accounting of chemicals
from the Agricultural Commissioner's office. The property owner, Jose Viramontes also
stated when interviewed in April 23, 2003 that there have been no groundwater
concerns during his ownership. y/,, frr, R 4-4kvce
There is no record of underground fuel tank storage and the property owner is not
aware of any such tank. There is a portable above ground fuel tank on the property. It
does not have a containment structure. It is used for gasoline and it can be relocated
to other sites.
FIELD INVESTIGATION
The following information was obtained during a field investigation in April 23, 2003
of the site as well as interviewing the property owner at that time.
1
C:\Dillon&Murphy\0326\Surface&Subsurface Report
