Our Project Number: E07171A Page 6 of 10
October 31, 2007
3.1.5 Water Supply and Sewage Disposal System
One domestic well, one agricultural well and an abandoned well are located on the subject
property. A septic system located west of the residence serves as the sewage disposal system.
The EHD well and septic permit files were searched on October 19, 2007 in an effort to obtain
copies of permits for any water wells or septic tanks on the subject property. Four permits
were found. These permits indicate that a labor camp was located on the property in the
1970s. Copies of these permits can be found in Appendix F of this report.
3.1.6 Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources
The California Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) well map 61113 was
reviewed for evidence of oil or gas wells on or in the vicinity of the subject property. No wells
are depicted within one-quarter mile of the subject property.
3.1.7 Site Reconnaissance
A visual reconnaissance of the subject property was conducted on October 24, 2007.
Photographs of the subject property are attached to this report as Appendix B. A site
visit/assessment checklist is attached to this report as Appendix D.
The subject property was observed to be a flat rectangular parcel used for agricultural purposes
(vineyards and cherries). A residence, vacant building and mobile home were observed on the
property. West of the residences a vehicle and debris pile were observed. Farm equipment,
bales of wire on pallets and a large pile of wood were also observed. Three five gallon
containers, one labeled Mobil Fluid 424, were located near the farm equipment; however, no
leaking or staining was observed around the containers.
An above ground storage tank (AST) was observed near the north east corner of the property,
west of the residences. According to Luis Viramontes14, the AST contained diesel in the past;
however it had not been used for several years. A slight fuel odor was present near the AST.
Some surface staining was observed on the drive areas.
Two pole-mounted transformers were observed near the center of the property by the
agricultural well. Five transformers were located on the adjacent property along the northern
border of the subject property. No leaks or staining were observed in the vicinity of the
transformers. An abandoned agricultural well, was observed next to the turbine located at the
center of the property.
Surrounding properties were surveyed at the time of the site reconnaissance. To the north of
the subject property were a residence, vineyard, orchard and vacant land. To the south were
13 California Department of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources, well map 611.
14 Interview with Luis Viramontes October 24, 2007
` 902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240•209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02007 Neil O.Anderson&Associates,Inc.
