To the west were orchards and some vacant land. 3.2 Past On-Site Sources of Contamination No above- or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from past uses of the site, except for the following: • Agricultural chemicals, including chloropicrin, have been applied to the subject property. • One AST on the subject property previously contained diesel fuel. • A labor camp was previously located on the subject property. Buried debris is often present at labor camps. 3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination No above- or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from current uses of the site, except for the following: • Agricultural chemicals continue to be applied on the property. • Two wells and one septic system are located on the property. • An abandoned agricultural well is located near the turbine at the center of the property. 3.4 Past Off-Site Sources of Contamination No above- or below-ground off-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from past uses of the surrounding properties, except for the following: • Surrounding properties have been used for agriculture in the past; agricultural chemicals may have been applied to these properties. 3.5 Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination No above- or below-ground off-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from current uses of the surrounding properties, except for the following: • Surrounding properties are used for agriculture; agricultural chemicals may be applied to these properties. 4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES Agricultural chemical residues may remain on the property. No evidence was found, however, to indicate that the chemicals were applied inappropriately. The above-ground storage tank is not within a secondary containment area.
