Dev.
John Funderburg
San Joaquin County
Community Redevelopment Department
Development Services Division
1810 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Dear Mr. Funderburg:
The California Department of Transportation (Department) appreciates the opportunity to
have reviewed the General Plan Map Amendment and Zone Reclassification for the
proposed 325 residential units to be located at 19260 North Tully Road approximately
500 feet south from State Route 88 (SR-88) and the SR-88/Tully Road intersection. The
Department has the following comments:
• This proposed development may not create a major impact on state facilities when
considered by itself. However, when combined with the cumulative impacts of other
existing and proposed development in this area, the resulting traffic will contribute to
the significant congestion forecasted to the SR-88 mainline and at the intersection of
SR-88/North Tully Road. Therefore, the Department recommends the collection of
impact fees on a "Fair Share"basis for future improvements to these facilities.
• Balancing the demand for housing and employment at a community scale enables
residents to live and work in the same area, potentially decreasing demand on inter-
regional transportation facilities.
"Caltrans Onproven mobility across California"
