The first boring (3.5 feet) was used later for
percolation test holes, while the other (8.5 feet) was used as a groundwater boring (GW), the
locations of the borings are indicated in Plate I.
j 5,2 Soil Boring Dimensions
The soil borings were 3.5 feet and 8.5 feet deep, as noted above, and were approximately 4
+ inches in diameter.
F1 5.3 Soil Lithology Observed
Generally, the soil encountered in the boring is similar to the soils reported by the San Joaquin
0 County Soil Survey for the area (USDA, 1992). The table below presents the soil log for the soil
borings. Conditions were comparable in the shallower holes.
Table 2.
Soil Boring Lo__.
Depth Interval (ft) Soil Type Unified Soil Classification
F! 0-8.5 Medium brown, silty sand SM
0 "044
1{ 902 Industrial Way•Lodi,CA 95240.209.367.3701 •Fax 209.369.4228 02007 Neil 0.Anderson&Associates Inc
