March 22, 2004
NOA Project Number: LE03-392
Page 8
been named the"Designated Remainder"on the Tentative Parcel map. The status of the 7.77
acre property was not clear to our office at the time of the percolation test. Should a second
dwelling unit with a separate septic system be proposed in the future for either parcel, a separate
percolation test may be required by EHD at that time.
In conclusion, the site appears to be suitable for use with a filter bed septic system for Parcel 1.
The use of seepage pits is not recommended in this area by EHD. The use of sumps should be
avoided if possible due to the shallow depth to ground water in the area. We recommend that the
design and installation of the septic system follow requirements established by the San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department.
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at
the time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the
test holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the
general area.
Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed
in accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. Test findings and statements of
professional opinion do not constitute a guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied.
Best Regards,
NEIL O. ANDERSON &ASSOC., INC.
David J.
